SOR in Pernik, Bulgaria

The former mining town of Pernik has become a new user of SOR electric buses in Bulgaria.

On the basis of the project entitled “Improving air quality by introducing ecological public electric transport in Pernik”, which is implemented with the financial support of the Operational Program “Environment” 2014-2020, the delivery of 5 EBN 11 electric buses was implemented in August 2023.

The delivery also includes the installation of five slow chargers and one double fast charger. Fast charging of electric buses is realized by means of a pantograph located on the roof of the electric bus. Electric buses are also equipped with air conditioning and a camera and information system. The fleet of city buses, including new electric buses, in the city of Pernik is in a pleasing color combination of red and yellow.
